The Healthiest Cities & Counties Challenge ("The Challenge") is a program engaging communities nationwide to build partnerships between residents, government, nonprofits, businesses, and other organizations to address local health challenges. The Challenge, part of CVS Health's Building Healthier Communities initiative, is seeking applications from "cross-sector teams that will use upstream approaches to address the program’s two priority topics: (1) increased access to foods that support healthy eating patterns; and (2) improved access to health services." The Challenge will award grants up to $100,000 over two years to 20 different teams.
